东太平洋海隆13°N和赤道附近表层沉积物中的元素赋存状态

MODE OF ELEMENT OCCURRENCE IN SURFACE SEDIMENTS FROM EAST PACIFIC RISE NEAR 13°N AND THE EQUATOR

  • 摘要: 为了解海底热液活动对沉积物元素赋存状态的影响,对东太平洋海隆(EPR)13°N和赤道附近表层沉积物样品17A-EPR-TVG1、17A-EPR-TVG5做了全样及顺序提取分析,探讨了Al、Ca、Fe、Mn、Ti、Ba、Zn、Cu、Sr、V、Mo、U及稀土元素赋存状态。XRD结果显示,17A-EPR-TVG1沉积物的主要矿物形态为黄铁矿,17A-EPR-TVG5沉积物样品主要矿物为方解石。受热液影响明显的17A-EPR-TVG1沉积物中,除Ca、Sr外,其余元素主要赋存于铁锰氧化物与残留相中。正常深海沉积物17A-EPR-TVG5中,除Al、Ba、Ti外,其余元素主要赋存于碳酸盐相及铁锰氧化物相中。稀土元素的顺序提取结果显示,17A-EPR-TVG1沉积物4个相态稀土元素北美页岩配分曲线中均有Eu正异常,17A-EPR-TVG5沉积物4个相态稀土元素北美页岩配分曲线中均出现Ce负异常,分别指示了二者形成过程中热液与海水的加入。

     

    Abstract: In order to assess the influence of seafloor hydrothermal activity on element occurrence in sediments, we carried out sequential extraction procedures and whole-rock analysis for the surface sediments(17A-EPR-TVG1, 17A-EPR-TVG5) collected from East Pacific Rise near 13°N and the equator, and discussed mode of element occurrence of Al,Ca,Fe,Mn,Ti,Ba,Zn,Cu,Sr,V,Mo,U and rare earth elements (REE).XRD results indicate that the primary mineral phase of 17A-EPR-TVG1 is pyrite and 17A-EPR-TVG5 sample has calcite as its main mineral. Elements except Ca and Sr of 17A-EPR-TVG1 which were greatly affected by hydrothermal activity mainly occur in the residual phase and ferromanganese oxide phase. However, elements except Al,Ba and Ti of 17A-EPR-TVG5 which is characteristic of normal deep ocean sediment mainly concentrate in carbonate phase and ferromanganese oxide phase. The sequential extraction results indicate that, the shale-normalized REE distribution pattern of the REEs in the sediments exhibits a positive Eu anomaly in all the four phases of 17A-EPR-TVG1,while the negative Ce anomaly occurs in the four phases of 17A-EPR-TVG5. We come to the conclusion that the sea water and hydrothermal fluid participated in the formation of the sediments.
