浙江内陆架表层沉积物粒度分布特征及运移趋势

SUSPENDED SEDIMENT TRANSPORT PATTERNS IN THE ZHEJIANG INNER CONTINENTAL SHELF IN SUMMER

  • 摘要: 基于2013年夏季浙江内陆架区海底表层沉积物的粒度测试资料,运用Gao-Collins粒径趋势分析方法,探讨了浙江内陆架沉积物的粒度分布特征和净输运趋势。结果表明:研究区内沉积物以黏土质粉砂为主,呈条带状沿平行岸线方向分布,总体特征表现为粒径越细, 分选越好, 偏态正偏;而粒径越粗, 分选越差, 偏态负偏。粒径趋势分析结果显示沉积物总的运移趋势为由东北向西南输运,在东南边缘处有向海偏移的趋势,三门湾口和椒江河口的沉积物有向海运移的趋势。研究表明浙江内陆架区的沉积物运移趋势与陆源入海泥沙、潮流、环流、地形等密切相关,也表明"粒度趋势分析法"在内陆架区域具有良好的适用性。

     

    Abstract: Based on the grain-size data of surface sediments collected from the inner shelf off Zhejiang in June, 2013, Gao-Collins grain size trend analysis was adopted to study grain size characteristics and net sediment transport patterns of the study region. The region is dominated by clay silt in a zonal pattern parallel to the coastline in spatial distribution. Finer sediments are better sorted with positive skewness, while the coarser sediments are poorly sorted with negative skewness. Surface sediments are mostly transported from northeast towards southwest, and towards the sea in the southeast part. Sediments near the Sanmen Bay mouth and the Jiaojiang River estuary move towards the sea. The trend of sediment transport is closely related to the river sediment supply, tidal current and circulation pattern, and geomorphology of the study area. The successful application of present research proves that grain size trend analysis is effective for large areas of continental shelves.
